The scooter is equipped with a BS6 compliant 125cc air-cooled fuel injection engine that delivers 808bhp at 6500rpm and 103Nm at 5000rpm and uses CVT to power the floor. The new Rayzr 125 Fi Hybrid and Street Rally 125 FI Hybrid draw their power from the same air-cooled fuel injection system, the Fi 125 cc Blue Core, which delivers 82 bhp from 6,500 rpm and 103 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. According to Yamaha Motors the hybrids RayzR 125 and Street Rally 125 use a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system with hybrid function that offers the benefits of silent engine start and automatic stop-starting.
With the introduction of the Ray ZR Street Rally two years ago, Yamaha Motor India has carved out a niche in the 110C scooter segment dominated by Honda and Activa. The launch of the new RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Street Rally 125 Hybrid this fall as part of its "Blue Campaign" is part of its plan to expand its hybrid scooter portfolio in India. Yamaha's other new 125cc scooter, the Fascino, is designed as an exaggerated version of its 110cc predecessor.
For example, the new Yamaha Ray ZR-125 gets a digital instrument cluster that replaces the analog unit of the older scooters, which has a good amount of driver-centric information. The power delivery on the Street Rally is linear, the scooter feels lively, and the acceleration to 80 km / h is brisk. One disadvantage of the Yamaha Ray-ZR Street Rally is that it differs from the standard model in that it has some disadvantages.
