The air-cooled 16,003 cc single-cylinder twin-valve SOHC engine is fitted with a regular CVT transmission that transmits power to the rear wheel. The intelligent motor generator system that does not require additional grille gears to start with the enigne rope was first seen on the Honda Scotoer and Yamaha Aerox 155 brings it to market with the Fascino Ray ZR 125 scooter.

The same 155cc 4 valve single cylinder engine, liquid cooled from the Yamaha R15, has been redesigned to produce 15hp at 8000rpm and 139Nm at 6500rpm, making the Aerox 155 the most powerful scooter sold in India. The engine maintains variable valve actuation to make 15hp, which is 4hp less than the R15, making it the second most powerful scooter on sale in the country.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is a high-end scooter featuring a 5.8-inch LCD console with connectivity via the Yamaha Y Connect app. It has 2.45 litres of storage space under the seat, LED headlights and taillights, negative LCD instrument cluster, connectivity, external fuel cap, optional mobile phone charger and a side stand for engine shut-off functions. It also features lightweight 14-inch wheels with 110mm tyres at the front and 140mm tyres at the rear without tubing, and the brakes are kept in check by 230mm disc brakes on the front ABS.    

The renowned Aerox 155 Maxi Sport Scooter is available in two colours: racing blue and grey vermillion and Monster Energy India Yamaha engine IYM MotoGP Edition and is powered by a new generation Blue Core 155cc engine coupled to a CVT gearbox.    

Mechanical specifications include a liquid-cooled 155cc single-cylinder engine with VVA technology delivering 1475bhp at 8000rpm and 139Nm maximum torque at 6500rpm. The Aerox gets a single channel ABS, 245 seats, 14-inch wheels with wide 140 mm rear tires. At the heart of the scooter is a Blue Core Liquid Cooled 4-stroke SOHC 4-valve motor of the new generation, which is equipped with variable valve actuation (VVA).    

Yamaha Motor India has updated its scooter portfolio with the launch of the Aerox 155, a premium product. It is available in a single version with two colour options - Race Blue and Grey Vermillion. In addition to Yamaha's latest V4 variant, the Yamaha R15 sports bike, the youngest participant in the premium scooter category, the new addition to Aerox 155 shares several features and basic features with the R15. It looks like it is one of the best scooters ever made by Yamaha.
